Humans have an amazing capacity to heal themselves, and the body’s energy field (sometimes called the biofield) is a crucial piece of this potential. Have you ever wondered how Buddhist monks or advanced martial artists perform incredible feats with their bodies? They can channel this energy field and use it to their advantage. Sometimes the biofield is disrupted or does not flow properly, and this is where a Reiki therapist comes in. A trained Reiki professional channels the Reiki (loosely translated from Japanese as “universal life force energy”) that is all around us, and uses it to manipulate the client’s energy field. This sets up the energetic conditions for health and well-being. Many hospitals are recognizing this and have incorporated Reiki as part of their complementary medicine programs. There is a growing body of research that suggests that Reiki can be beneficial for acute and chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and other conditions.

Eric blends Reiki energy therapy with coaching in mindfulness and resilience to balance the mind and biofield and maximize your body’s potential to heal itself. A typical Reiki session lasts about an hour; practitioners will place hands on or above the client’s body in various positions, usually on or around the chakras, or energy centers. Eric also works intuitively, sometimes feeling guided to a specific part of a client’s body.
