Chris Clark, RN, LMBT (NC#6878), CHTP
Chris Clark is a registered nurse, a Licensed Bodywork & Massage Therapist and a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. She is a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, Healing Touch International and Society for Oncology Massage. She works part-time for the NC Cancer Hospital and part-time at A Step to Health.
Her Clientele Includes:
- Young people & adults with minor aches & pains
- Adults feeling “out of sorts” or “off balance” in body/mind/spirit
- Adults dealing with life transitions such as disease, divorce, etc.
- Adults with wounds or fractures
- Elderly in need of safe, nurturing touch
- Caregivers of the chronically ill &/or aged
- Young people & adults dealing with cancer
- Those grieving due to recent or pending loss
Chris’s specialties include: Swedish massage, Healing Touch energy therapy, oncology massage. She sometimes incorporates pressure points & reflexology into her sessions. She is also trained in “Beyond Surgery Program”, a combination of coaching, relaxation techniques & Healing Touch designed to reduce anxiety and increase physical/emotional healing before and after life changing events such as surgery.
Chris graduated from Body Therapy Institute in Siler City, North Carolina. She received her training in Healing Touch with Deborah Larrimore & Donna Duff. Tracy Walton and Gayle McDonald are her teachers in ongoing oncology massage training.
Chris’s Philosophy: It is important to me to offer a safe, quiet space for you to “get away” for the time you are on my table. I want you to feel supported & nurtured. I work to accomplish this through what nurses call “individualized care plans”, tailored to your needs on any given day.
