Lisa Roche is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist. She is also certified in Bamboo Massage (officially titled Bamboo Fusion). Lisa attended Body Therapy Institute in Siler City, NC.

Lisa performs Swedish, Myofascial, and Trigger Point Therapy and utilizes stretching and movements of the joints in her massages.

Bamboo Massage is using warmed bamboo to massage the body.  It can be used in Swedish and Deep tissue or Myofascial massages.   With client permission, Lisa incorporates the use of bamboo massage into her massages (For more information about Bamboo Fusion go the website:  http://www.bamboo-fusion.com/  or watch the video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejRYLm-JCKQ).

Lisa’s goal is to provide an individually-tailored massage unique to the needs of each person.  She desires not only to provide a massage that relieves pain, tension and stress, but also to help each person to discover the sources of their stress and tension.

Lisa moved to North Carolina in 1995 and began working for Orange County Public Schools as a teacher of children with special needs. She has worked with preschool-aged children and elementary school children and their families since 1989. Lisa recently decided to make a change in her career path. Having always been interested in the how the body, mind, emotions, and spirit intertwine to affect a person’s sense of well-being, she chose Massage Therapy.

Lisa received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and attended UNC–G for her Master of Education in Preschool Education and Development in 1998.

She is the mother of three sons (Tre’, Joshua, and Lucas) that all attended and graduated from Orange High School.  Her eldest son graduated from UNC-Asheville. He currently lives in Asheville.  The second eldest is beginning his last semester at Applachian State University, and the youngest is preparing to start his first semester at UNC-Wilmington.
